Washington Mystics/Atlanta Dream Pregame Blog

The Mystics are going to be a good team once they get everything together and composed. They have great players and leaders such as Crystal Langhorne and Matee Ajovon but they also have great additions such as Kelly Miller and Nicky Anosike. All of these players have to lay at Max in order for them to surge passed the Atlanta Dream. Nickey Anosike was the MVP of the Mystics team in their game against the Sun. She scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and2 assists. Not far from her was Crystal Langhorne with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Nicky is the MVP because she had a better leadership game for her to be so young. Kelly Miller also had a good game scoring 10 points, rebounding 3 times and giving 4 assists. Her energy is what makes her exceptionally. She needs to bring the same energy and state of mind to the Dream game in order to win. Also, the bench has to be the 6th man in their game. They also have to contribute in order to defeat the Dream.

The Dream also lost their first game, but shouldn’t have. The Dream did everything right, but the Liberty did it better. The Dream had everyone on their team contribute to their win. The bench was lead by Armintie Price. She added 13 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 3 steals. She was also the leader off the bench. Her and Lindsey Harding really connected on the court. Lindsey Harding was the MVP of the Dream team. She did not play like that was her first dream game. She played like she started with that team and she was built in that team. Her stats weren’t all that but her Leadership was! If she didn’t lead this team like she did, Atlanta would’ve lost in regular time. Without Angel McCoughtry, this Atlanta Dream team was great! They should stay without her because they’re playing better without her.
