Sylvia Fowles, Epiphany Prince, and Courtney Vandersloot complete the Big 3 for the Chicago Sky. Epiphany is main scorere, Sylvia is the rebounder, and Courtney is the assister. Epiphany Prince outscored everyone on both teams with 24 points. She scored on the inside, on the outside and everywhere else on the floor. She missed 1 shot on the line but it didn’t matter. She was the major scoring factor in this game and really helped with the win. If Prince missed, Sylvia was right there to clean it up. She ran up the backboard rebounding 12 balls. She is a rebounding machine. You can almost guarantee that when you miss that Fowles will get the ball. The defensse has to hate playing against her. I don’t care how many times you shoot, the more you miss, the more Chicago possessions there will be. Her length and aggressiveness wins games. Once she gets the rebound, her first look is to Courtney who’s down the court on the fastbreak. When she gets the ball, she looks for the open runner and lead them perfectly to the basket with the assist. In this game, she dished out 18 points while gathering 9 assists. She is a great WNBA passer. She is a great passer! She can really thread the needle and always does. Someone has to pass Sylvia and Epiphany the ball and that is Sloot.
Erika de Souza had a great game for the Dream. She has been a great player for this team. She doesn’t need to score 30 points a game, she needs to do what she does in every game. Angel McCoughtry tried to help her team win the game scoring 17 points, but she couldn’t do it. Atlanta hasn’t been able to win and I don’t see a winning streak in their future.
