LA Sparks vs. Minnesota Lynx
Who Wins? LA Sparks. This is going to be a great game. Both of these teams are on winning streaks and have the necessary components to win this game. The Sparks have such a great bench. It’s like they have 2 starting five lineups. When Candace Parker or Alana Beard come off the floor, another player subs in and the caliber is the same. Great players such as Marissa Coleman, Ebony Hoffman, and Jantel Lavender come into the game and surge the team. Minnesota has a good bench but not as good as the Sparks. Monica Wright has been quite a factor for the Lynx. She highlights the team as an X-factor. Both these teams have great game changers so it will be interesting to see who takes the game by force.
The matchup between the teams is going to be great. Toliver will stand toe-to-toe with Whalen and I’m sure Whalen won’t back down. Toliver is a scrappy at the point but Whalen is more of a pace controller. Toliver will beat Whalen on the drive each time but Toli will have to worry about the help defense that come at her. I’m not sure who will have to handle Parker. Parker can play any position and she does it well. Brunson, McWilliams-Franklin, and Moore will have to work on container Parker. But even if they contain Parker, they have to worry about those around her because she’s one of the best passing posts. Brunson and Parker are going to have a battle for boards. Brunson averages one more rebounds than Parker but Parker isn’t gonna let Brunson overpower her.
Both teams needs to play at their absolute best if they want to win this game. The chemistry for the Sparks increasing after each practice and each game. The Lynx still have the majority of their championship team. This is definitely a preview of the Conference Finals matchup this year. This game with set the tone for all the games to come.
