The Lynx remain undefeated after they easily beat the Storm. The Storm put up no fight. They just couldn’t beat this team and won’t beat this team with their roster right now. The Lynx had it all together last night and they worked as a team. The Storm tried to shut down Maya Moore and Lindsey Whalen, but that lead to Seimone Augustus and Rebekkah Brunson to take the spotlight.
In the first half, Whalen and Moore had great chemistry on the floor. Whalen went on to dish a total of 8 assists in the game while Moore scored a game high 19 points. The biggest thing about this game wasn’t Augustus’ 10 points or Brunson’s 7 rebounds, it was the bench and how much affect it had on the game. The Bench is the reason the Lynx defeated the Storm, without their effort, the Lynx would’ve went down and hard. Almost the entire Lynx bench scored, and if they didn’t score they were offering another stat. Monica Wright and Devereaux Peters both scored in the double digits to assists their team to the win.
The Storm had really no chance. They team is awful this year. Even if they still had Cash and Willingham, they are still missing Lauren Jackson. Sue Bird is playing her same way but she can’t do it with Ann Wauters at the Center spot and Tina Thompson at the 3 spot. This isn’t the team it used to be and it will never play like that team, even after the return of LJ.
