Sylvia Fowles and Epiphany Prince blew the minds of everyone in that arena. They combined to score 45 points. Fowles had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Prince had 22 points and 6 rebounds. I don’t think anyone was expecting them to play like this. They stunned the crowd. Once they started scoring, they didn’t stop until the final buzzer. Swin Cash and Ruth Riley also chipped in. Cash had 12 points and Riley had 10.
The Stars couldn’t handle Prince and Fowles. Danielle Robinson couldn’t stop Prince on the offensive end. Robinson tried to guard her, but Prince kept finding ways around Robinson. Adams was no problem for Fowles. Fowles kept scoring and rebounding regardless of who was guarding her. Becky Hammon lead her team in points scoring 21. If Hammon is scoring all your points, something is wrong. It’s not because she can’t score well because obviously she can, it’s because she’s your point guard. The PG is supposed to make opportunities for others and they just didn’t work in this game. Hammon put her team on her back and it just wasn’t enough to win the game.
