Mercury able to stay on top against Tulsa, 79-72

Phoenix Mercury had another close encounter with the Tulsa Shock, but once again the Mercury were able to win. With the absence of Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor she has really stepped, as have others.

Sammy Prahalis played good as well. She scored 19 points in this game and had 6 assists. Beyond the arc ftor her, and the entire team, was pretty awful. Candice Shores had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. The team played good in the end but shouldn’t have let go of their lead.

Tulsa play so good and their record doesn’t show it. Every game they’ve played have been close games, they just need to break the glass and get the W.Jennifer Lacy was good in this game as she has been in previous games. In this game, she scored 19 and also had 4 rebounds. Lacy, Temeka Johnson, and Ivory Latta were all apart of the comeback. Johnson scored 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Johnson was the leading rebound for her team. Kayla Pedersen right behind her with 7 rebounds but didn’t score in this game. Latta added 10 points and 3 assists. If more players scored and contributed, Tulsa would have won.
