Stars suffer another close loss to Dream, 57-60

The Stars couldn’t beat another team down the stretch. This was a great game for both teams. It came down to how much time was left and the time wasn’t in favor of the Stars. Becky Hammon attempted to help her team by passing to the hot Sophia Young but good defense by Angel McCoughtry and a Dream interference prevented it.

Lindsey Harding had an excellent game even though she was not the leading scorer. Starting in the 2Q, she took matters into her own hands and scored any way she could. She ended the game with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Angel McCoughtry led her teams in points and assists in this game and it proved to have helped. She had 16 points and 4 assists. Armintie Price and Sancho Lyttle were also big factors in the Dream win. Price had 10 points 4 rebounds and Lyttle had 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Sophia Young led her team the entire game! She had a game high 21 points. She would not go away in this game. She was the only Star to score in double digits but a couple players were close. Jia Perkins and Danielle Adams both had 9 points in this game. Adams was charged with a blocking foul in the 2Q which caused Coach Hughes to explode and be ejected from the game. After his ejection, nothing changed for the Stars. They kept the same intensity and fought just as hard to win the game, but time ran out.
