Epiphanny Prince is giving everyone on the MVP Race list a run for their money. Prince is still leading the WNBA in points and it doesn’t seem as though she is going to slow down. In this game, she scored a game high 26 points. She led her team to the win over the streaking Liberty. Chicago needs another scorer for her team. She is doing well by herself but if Sylvia Fowles or someone off the bench would score 15 points a game the Chicago would have much easier wins.
Tamera Young and Sylvia Fowles were great on the boards and good scoring wise too. Fowles scored 10 and had 12 rebounds while Young scored 12 points and had 7 rebounds. Both of these players rebound more on the defensive end than on the offensive end which takes away second chance points from the other team.
The Liberty are missing Plenette Pierson due to an injury and it is proving to hurt them. Although Pierson is out, the Liberty played well but they couldn’t pull off the win. Cappie Pondexter once again led her team in points. In this game, she had 22 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. She had a huge all-around game and it helped her team but they were still missing a factor. Kia Vaughn helped her team out by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Essence Carson stood out again this game scoring 10 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. The Liberty will bounce back soon.
