Fever rout Sky in OT, 88-86

A Tamika Catchings led Fever ousted the Sky in overtime. These teams battle the entire game. Each team surged back when they were down. Tamika Catchings and Katie Douglas were huge parts of the surges they’ve created. There were several players that were in involved in the overall win. Catchings scored 18 points, had 9 rebounds, stole 4 ballls and dished 6 assists. Douglas scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Not only was this duo key but there were many other players who were huge factors.

Jessica Davenport was big off the bench scoring 15 points and grabbing 4 rebounds. She was great off the bench. When she came in the game, she mad the other team pay. Briann January and Shavonte Zellous were 2 other players that were big in the Fever surges. They combined to score 27 points. Zellous had 2 blocks to tie with Tammy Sutton Brown. Sutton-Brown was the only starter to not score double digits Davenport took her spot and filled the void.

The Sky did superb last night and at the end they couldn’t get the last shot off. Sylvia Fowles and Eshaya Murphe were huge in this game. Epiphany Prince is out due to a broken foot but Murphy stepped up and scored as if she were Prince. Although Prince is gone, there are several people filling in trying to fill her absence. Swin Cash has been stepping up and last night she scored 18 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished 4 assists. Fowles scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Le’Coe Willingham also had 10 points to help her team battle in to overtime.
