The Shock grabbed only their third win last night but they did it very good. Riquna Williams, Ivory Latta, Glory Johnson, and Temeka Johnson were the pioneers in this game. All these players had double digit games but they also played good on the defensive end. There were several times where the Mystics tried to get back in the game but the Shock didn’t let that happen. Ivory Latta led her team with 18 points and 6 rebounds. She was a huge rebounder for her team even though she is a guard. She had a couple of big 3s that increased the intensity of the Shock.
Glory Johnson played how she played in college. She has 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. She also had 2 steals. Temeka Johnson had 17 points and and 3 assists but she also had 5 TO which didn’t help her team out. Riquna Williams was a factor in another game. She scored 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished 2 assists. Kayla Pedersen upsets me so much right now! She was such a great player in college and now that she’s in the WNBA she is a non factor for her team.
The Mystics weren’t in this game at all. Crystal Langhorne who is their leading scorer only scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The entire team wasn’t ready to play last night. They were terrible from behind the arc and decent from everywhere else. The team couldn’t make any attempt to beat this team.
